It turns out Ms. Palin has been moseying up to the old earmark trough for some time.  We all know about how she was for the "bridge", the against it.  Well, that was nothing new.  Check out the minutes of the city council outlining the Good Work from their lobbyist in DC: City Council Minutes (PDF FIle)

My, my, my...   Records from the Taxpayers for Common Sense show that Palin (to quote MSNBC):

But Ashdown said that his research shows that as Mayor of Wasilla, between 1996-2002, Palin helped get nearly $27 million in earmarked federal funding. As previously reported, Palin and Silver were instrumental in bringing in millions for a local commuter rail project, a regional dispatch center, bus and airport facilities and other Wasilla projects.

Of course, she says "As governor... I cut earmarks".  Maybe so, but, hey, fess up to your earlier life where you were in there with the rest of the folks.
